24th Annual Communicator Awards Winner

I am happy to announce that this morning, the video One Magazine at a Time, received a Communicator Award of Distinction from the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts. The stand-alone video, One Magazine at a Time, was the begining of the project, One Magazine at a Time, which aims to inform the people of Chicago about the nonprofit, Streetwise, and their vendors. This video featuring Steven Riggs, tells his story of growing up in poverty and going to jail for a self-defense murder. After Steven got out of jail, he knew that he had nothing, and needed a way to earn immediate income, so he went to Streetwise.

The Communicator Awards are judged and overseen by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), a 600+ member organization of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media.
